Privacy Policy

Groove Graphic Design ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy is written with reference to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). While businesses with an annual turnover under $3 million are currently exempt from most obligations under the Act, we have chosen to follow the Australian Privacy Principles as best practice -  partly because that exemption is expected to be removed for all businesses regardless of turnover, and partly because it's simply the right way to treat your information.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you browse our site, place an order, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Your name, email address, postal address, and phone number

  • Order details, including items purchased and payment confirmation (we do not see or store your full card details. These are processed securely by our payment provider)

  • Correspondence you send us, such as enquiries or custom artwork briefs

  • Technical information collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, via website analytics tools

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We share limited information with trusted service providers who help us run our business, including:

  • Our website host and e-commerce platform (Wix)

  • Payment processors (such as Wix Payments, PayPal, or Stripe) to complete your transaction

  • Postal and courier services, to deliver your order

  • Email marketing platforms, if you've subscribed to our mailing list

  • Etsy, if you purchase through our Etsy store rather than this website (Etsy's own privacy policy applies to those purchases)

These providers are only given the information they need to perform their service and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS STORED

Some of the third-party services we use (including our website host) may store or process data on servers located overseas, including in the United States. By using our site, you consent to your information being handled in this way. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipients handle your information consistently with Australian privacy standards.

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records must generally be kept for five years).

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

Some of the third-party services we use (including our website host) may store or process data on servers located overseas, including in the United States. By using our site, you consent to your information being handled in this way. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipients handle your information consistently with Australian privacy standards.

DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, and disclosure. However, no method of online transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
